Regular board meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 6pm via Zoom. If you're a shareholder and would like to attend, please contact directors@kingvale.org not later than 24 hours before the meeting.

6-19-2024 Truckee Fire Protection District has announced its Burn Ban for the season. 

As of 6/19/2024 restrictions on campfires, wood or charcoal burning go into effect within TFPD. That includes all of us in Kingvale and our neighboring communities.

Allowed

• Outdoor gas appliances

• Gas portable fire pits

• Gas BBQs

• Wood pellet fuel-based BBQs & smokers

Not Allowed

• Residential campfires/bonfires

• BBQs that burn charcoal, wood or lump charcoal

• Ceramic charcoal grills

• Briquette fuel-based smokers

• Wood shavings added for flavor

During red flag/critical fire weather conditions, all sources of open flames, including Natural Gas or Propane outdoor fire pits and barbecues, and pellet grills/smokers are prohibited.

5-1-2024 - Annual shareholders' meeting and July 4 picnic will be held on Saturday July 6, 2024

7-1-2023 - Work party dates are July 22, August 19, September 2 and 18

6-16-2023 Road update: Kingvale roads are mostly cleared, but there are still piles of snow in shady areas. Given the snow-covered and marshy areas, the Kingvale Picnic Committee is postponing the Picnic to Saturday August 12 at 1pm. 

Dumpsters for the winter season are located at the west entrance of Brennan. These are for household waste only.

Starting Jan 21, 2023, you can drop off hazardous materials the third Saturday of each month by appointment at the Eastern Regional MRF.  Read more
